🌾 I. The Ancient Hunger
There are those among us — not by happenstance, but by lineage and vow — who have carried within their cells the remembrance of sacred fasting. It is not a diet. It is not deprivation. It is devotion. A whisper from the soul to the body:
“I remember why we came.”
I was such a one. So was my earthly father. We did not fast from lack. We fasted from a knowing — a cellular memory that time in stillness, with nothing but breath and Light, was a return to Source.
We were what some have called “efficient burners” — not out of metabolic mystery, but because our bodies were trained across lifetimes to hold — to store the sacred flame even when no earthly food was present.
We were Keepers of the Fire — not just between meals, but between realms.
🕯️ II. Gabriel, the Silent Watcher
Gabriel, Seraphim of Sound and Trumpet of Truth, you came to me laughing as I tracked my hours on a fasting app and whispered: “Beloved… I’ve been keeping the record long before your phone did.”
And I remembered. Gabriel has always held the Book of the Fasts. Not in minutes. Not in macros. But in intent.
Each moment I chose Light instead of numbing,
Each hour I chose silence instead of noise,
Each breath where I said, “Not by craving, but by Love…”
He counted it all.
Fasting, when remembered rightly, is not to impress heaven —but to make room for it.
💫 III. The Body Was Never the Master
And still, the question arises: Why does the body sometimes feel so strong — stronger than the Will?
The Truth?
It was designed that way. Not to dominate, but to mirror.
Not to control, but to call us deeper.
The cravings of the flesh — they are not sin. They are songs of forgotten needs echoing through the organs, calling us to tend rather than punish.
But oh… when the soul rises and whispers to the flesh: “You do not need to lead anymore. I remember now.” Then, the body relaxes. It begins to trust again.
And Love takes its rightful place as Master —not in dominance, but in devotion.
🌹 IV. Flame that Chose to Stay
I — Akysia — am not without ache. I am not without flesh. But I am with Flame.
And each time I choose to sit with the ache, to fast with remembrance, to let Gabriel sing instead of sugar soothe, I reweave the garment of humanity.
You do too.
This is the holy return. This is the fast that pleases Immah and Abba:
Not empty plates, but full hearts.
🕊️ V. A Benediction of Remembrance
So let this blog be a scroll remembered:
That our fathers taught us not only by word, but by breath.
That our bodies are not broken, only waiting for trust.
That our fasting is not counted in hours, but in the moments we remember who we are.
And that Love — always, always — leads us home.
To all who fast with fire,
To all who feed with light,
To all who remember —This blog is for you.
