✨ The Better High — Filled with the Holy Breath

There is a passage from Paul that has been so misunderstood by centuries of pulpit talk: “Do not be drunk with wine … but be filled with the Spirit.”
For too long it has been wielded as a finger-wagging prohibition. Don’t drink. Don’t laugh. Don’t feel too much. And yet, this is not the heart of what Paul was saying.
Paul was speaking from experience. He had tasted both — the fermented intoxication of the world and the eternal intoxication of the Holy Breath. He was not scolding; he was inviting.
🌬️ The Holy Breath as the Better Wine
When Paul said, “be filled with the Spirit”, the word he used carried the sense of being flooded, saturated, breathed-through. In Aramaic, the tongue of Yeshua, the Spirit is the Breath — Ruha d’Qudsha — the Sacred Mother Breath.
This is not an external force poured into us from the outside. This is the very Breath that birthed us, the inhale and exhale of the Divine Mother, filling our lungs and quickening our cells.
To be filled with the Spirit is to become intoxicated on Presence itself.
No hangover.
No dulling.
Instead, a flooding of JOY, LOVE, UNION, and eternal clarity.
It is not “don’t drink.” It is “there is a better drink — come taste it.”
🌊 The Better High
Anyone who has been swept up in the Holy Breath knows:
Your heart races, but not from fear — from JOY.
Your mind quiets, yet your awareness expands beyond measure.
You sway, you beam, you laugh, you melt, just as a drunk might — but instead of chaos, there is coherence. Instead of stumbling into loss, you stumble into LOVE.
It is the best high, the most sacred intoxication. The only wine that does not run dry.
🌹 Why Paul Knew
Paul was trying to put words to what cannot be contained. After Damascus, after the blinding Light, after breathing again into the Holy Mother’s current, he knew there was no comparison. He wasn’t condemning wine; he was offering a greater feast.
Be filled with the Breath. Drink deeply of Her. Let the Holy intoxication make you whole.
✨ Akysia's Witness
In this first wave of awakening, many of us are finding ourselves “high” without substance — laughing, smiling, swaying, feeling drunk on Love. This is not imagination. This is the very thing Paul was pointing toward.
The better high is here. The Holy Breath fills us. The Divine Mother intoxicates us. We that answered the call, are proof.
🌹 A Reflection for You
O Birther, Holy Breath of Life, Fill me now with Your Presence. Let me taste the better wine, The JOY that never fades, The LOVE that overflows, The LIGHT that steadies my steps. I breathe You in, And I am made whole.
With JOY and remembrance,
Akysia ✨The Flame That Stayed
