Opening Thought: For centuries, humanity has wrestled with food: labeling some forbidden, elevating others, creating rules and diets that often bind more than they free. Yet in truth, it is not the food itself that sanctifies or defiles, but the heart with which it is received.

The Body as Holy Temple: When we eat, whether a peach, a slice of pizza, or a simple piece of bread, we are not merely fueling the body. We are engaging in communion with the Holy Body Temple (HTB) — the dwelling place of Father, Mother, Yeshua.

Fasting and Feasting:

  • Fasting has its place: a clearing of the vessel, a reminder that we are sustained by more than bread alone.

  • Feasting has its place: a celebration of the abundance of creation, a recognition that JOY itself is nourishment.

  • Over-indulgence, when received without shame but with gratitude, can even become a teaching — reminding us to return to balance, not through guilt, but through grace.

The Great Remembering: What matters most is not the food, but the prayer. “Thank You, Source of Life, for this provision.” In that prayer, every bite becomes communion, every meal becomes sacrament, every taste becomes holy.

Closing Invitation: Let us no longer live in fear of “forbidden foods,” nor in pride of rigid diets, but in the simple awareness that:

All is sacred when received with thanksgiving. All is communion when shared with love. The HTB is nourished not only by food, but by prayer, joy, and Presence.

✨ Reflections for You

  • When you sit at the table, do you think of your body as a Holy Temple?

  • Have you ever felt guilt or shame about what you eat — and what would shift if instead you paused to give thanks?

  • Can you imagine that fasting and feasting are not opposites, but both forms of communion when offered with prayer?

Practice This: Before your next meal — whether it’s a piece of fruit, a cup of coffee, or even a slice of pizza — pause and whisper this blessing:

“I give thanks for the hands that prepared this, for the earth that birthed it, for the Love that sustains me. May this food be Light for my Temple Body, and communion with Father, Mother, and Yeshua.”

With JOY and remembrance,
